Free for creators. Fair for brands.

Afflio is free for creators, always — you keep the full commission a brand sets, because Afflio takes no percentage of your payout. Brands begin on a free Start tier that includes tracking, commission rules, creator applications, payouts and a marketplace listing, and move to a quoted Scale tier only when they need multi-tier or geo rates, fraud rules and refund clawbacks. There is no setup fee, no lock-in and no card required to begin on either side.

How the money actually moves

A commission is not paid the moment somebody clicks. It is attributed when the sale happens, held while the brand’s refund window runs, approved by that brand, and only then released to a payout rail. Knowing where a payment is in that sequence is usually what a creator is really asking when they ask when they get paid — so here is the whole path, end to end.

How a commission reaches a creator on Afflio: the creator shares a tracked link, promo code or QR code; a buyer clicks and purchases and the sale is attributed server-side; the brand approves it after its refund window; and the commission is paid out over PayPal worldwide or bank transfer and UPI in India via RazorpayX. Afflio deducts nothing from the creator payout — the brand pays the platform fee separately.
Four stages, one rail. The brand’s approval step is what protects it from paying commission on a sale that is later refunded.

What is charged, line by line

The row worth reading twice is the fourth one. Plenty of partnership platforms fund themselves by taking a share of every commission that passes through them, which means the creator quietly receives less than the rate the brand advertised. Afflio does not do that: the brand pays the platform fee, and the payout is whatever the brand’s commission rule says it is.

What is live today, and what is not

A pricing page that lists roadmap features as if they shipped costs more than it wins, because the customer discovers the gap after they have committed. So here is the split exactly as the codebase records it: seven integrations are live, and all seven are payment or delivery rails. Eleven more are genuinely on the roadmap.

Native e-commerce tracking is not live yet. If your programme depends on Shopify or WooCommerce firing conversions automatically today, raise it on the brand demo form before you commit. The full list is on the integrations page.

A worked example, end to end

Fee models are easier to compare as arithmetic than as adjectives, so here is one order followed all the way through. The numbers below are an illustration chosen to be easy to follow — not a typical result, and not a promise about what any programme pays.

What the creator receives

A brand sets a 20% commission — inside the 10–30% band authored across niches on this site. A reader clicks a tracked link and buys a ₹5,000 order. The sale is attributed server-side, and the commission is ₹1,000.

Afflio deducts nothing from that ₹1,000. The brand approves the sale once its refund window has passed, and ₹1,000 is released to PayPal, or to a bank account or UPI ID through RazorpayX. For comparison, a platform that took a 20% cut of the payout would hand over ₹800 for the identical order and the identical work.

What the brand pays

On the Start tier the brand pays the ₹1,000 commission and nothing else — no setup fee, no per-transaction platform fee, no minimum. The cost of the programme is exactly the commission it chose to offer, which is what makes the first programme cheap to test: if nobody sells anything, it costs nothing.

If the customer refunds, the commission can be clawed back, so the brand pays for revenue it keeps rather than revenue it booked. On Start that happens by declining the sale before payout; automated clawback rules are a Scale feature.

The reason the arithmetic stays this simple is the funding model: creators are free because brands pay for the platform, so there is no second party taking a slice on the way through. That is also why the creator side is genuinely free rather than a trial that converts — there is no creator plan to upgrade to.

When Scale is worth asking about

Most programmes should start on Start, because the free tier already tracks sales, enforces commission rules, accepts creator applications, pays people and lists you in the marketplace. Scale exists for the cases where a single flat commission stops being the right instrument, and there are really only three of them.

The first is rate complexity: you need different commissions by tier, by geography or by SKU, because a ₹500 accessory and a ₹50,000 subscription should not pay the same percentage. The second is fraud exposure — once volume is high enough that self-referrals and refund abuse cost real money, you want automated rules and clawbacks rather than manual review. The third is partner management at scale, where a manager earns an override on the creators they recruit and you need multi-tier attribution to pay it.

None of those is a reason to start on Scale. If you are not hitting one of them, the free tier is not a stripped-down version of the product — it is the product.

Pricing questions, answered

How much does Afflio cost a creator?

Nothing. Joining Afflio, applying to programmes, generating tracked links and promo codes, and receiving payouts are all free, and Afflio takes no percentage of the commission a brand pays you. The platform is funded by the brands running the programmes, which is why the creator side can stay free rather than freemium.

What do brands actually pay?

The Start tier is free and includes tracking, commission rules, creator applications, manual and automated payouts, and a marketplace listing. The Scale tier is quoted per programme and adds multi-tier, geo and SKU commission rates, fraud rules with refund clawbacks, and priority onboarding. There is no public list price for Scale because it is quoted against programme volume — ask for a quote rather than assume a number.

Does Afflio take a percentage of payouts?

No. Whatever commission a brand sets is what the creator receives, and the brand's platform fee is charged separately rather than skimmed from the payout. This is the main way Afflio's fee model differs from marketplaces that take a share of every transaction.

When do creators get paid, and how?

A sale is paid out after the brand approves it, which normally happens once that brand's refund window has passed. Payouts run over PayPal worldwide, and over bank transfer or UPI in India through RazorpayX. Each brand sets its own payout schedule, minimum threshold and tax-form requirements, so the exact timing is a property of the programme rather than of Afflio.

What happens if a customer refunds?

The commission for that sale can be clawed back, so a brand only pays for revenue it actually keeps. Automated clawback rules are part of the Scale tier; on Start a brand handles refunds by approving or declining the sale before it is paid out.

Which integrations are live today?

Seven are live, and all seven are payment or delivery rails: PayPal, RazorpayX, Razorpay, Stripe, PhonePe, Paytm and outbound webhooks. Eleven more — including Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, Wix, Squarespace, Zapier, Make.com, Google Analytics, Segment and Slack — are on the roadmap and are marked as such rather than listed as if they shipped. If your programme depends on a native e-commerce integration today, that is worth raising before you commit.

Is there a free trial, and is a card required?

There is no trial clock, because the Start tier is simply free rather than time-limited, and no card is required to open a brand account or a creator account.

Is Afflio already operating at scale?

No — Afflio is pre-launch. The programmes listed in the marketplace are real brand affiliate programmes that Afflio documents, and any earnings figures shown elsewhere on this site are illustrative examples rather than measured customer results. Pricing, fee model and payout rails are real and are what you will be charged on.
